Hi, all. Fleet Council has continued to meet on a monthly basis to discuss Club activities in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We previously determined we should cancel Club activities at least until Pennsylvania changes our area from a Red Phase to Yellow Phase.
In addition to guidance from the State, Fleet Council determined, based on US Sailing recommendations, that we create a COVID-19 Task Force to create Club event requirements. I am requesting 2 members of the Club with legal or medical background to sit on this Task Force immediately, joining myself and two other members of Fleet Council. We anticipate our first remote video meeting to take place this coming Monday, June 1st at 7:00. Although it is widely anticipated that the Governor’s office will change our local area to Yellow Phase on June 5, the Club will not begin racing or cruising activities until Fleet Council approves the Task Force plan, hopefully at a Council meeting on June 15.
