Hi, everyone, hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend. Though it was the unofficial end of Summer, we still have plenty of activities continuing.
This Saturday we have 2 combined events, our September Regatta, and our Ladie’s Distance Race. The Regatta will be around the buoy racing, with single start for all boats. The Ladies Distance race is for female skippers only (crew of your choice is fine), and will be a distance race. This was formerly known as the Ladies Dam Race, but in recent years participants have chosen to go in a different direction due to the shifty winds up in the W’s leading to the dam. However, based on forecasted wind direction, the dam might not be a bad destination for this year’s race.
Our forecast for the weekend looks good for Saturday, not so good for Sunday. We should see partly cloudy skies and mid-70’s on Saturday, with winds 8-15 knots from the East. Sunday will be cloudy with scattered showers and storms, and a high of 80 degrees.
