Hi, all, we have another weekend of racing and cruising events this weekend. On Saturday morning, we have our August Invitational Regatta, where all boats are welcome to race, with a unified start for all classes. Skipper’s meeting as usual at 10:00 and 1st race scheduled for 11:00
Later on Saturday, we will be having a Full Moon Raft Up in No-Name Cove right out from the marina scheduled for 7:00.
Rember that COVID-19 virus protocols are in effect for all events, with record keeping, medical survey, masking, and proper distancing in effect. Supplies are on the Committee Boat for event organizers.
The weather looks good for the weekend, with seasonable temperatures in the high 80’s and hopefully lower humidities expected. Sunday shows a chance for afternoon/evening thunderstorms, so keep aware. Winds, however, don’t look like they will cooperate. Since we will be having high pressure over the area, we can expect low-to-no winds Saturday, with variable direction. Sorry, racers. Sunday’s forecast currently shows winds building over 10 knots with direction changing from SW to SE as the day progresses.
