We return to racing this weekend, with scheduled Frostbite series racing on Saturday. All boats will share a single start. Skipper’s meeting at 10:00 on A dock, racing on the water at 11:00. This could also count as a makeup Regatta day, but I don’t think we’ve missed a regatta this year?
The weather is expected to be dry and cooler this weekend, with clouds on Saturday and more sun on Sunday. (Haha, see what the weather did there?) Temperatures in the mid-70’s Saturday and a bit cooler on Sunday. Winds for racing may be challenging on Saturday, with directions from the NNE at 10 knots and gusting into the low 20s. Sunday seems to clock a little more to ENE and E at 10 knots with gusts to 14. The gusts are forecast to decrease through the day.
Note that the club is facing some significant issues in the coming year, as we are expecting significant reorganization of club leadership. Commodore, Vice Commodore, and Quartermaster will all be stepping down at the end of this year, and to date, no one has expressing interest in filling these positions.
