Hi, everyone, we’re going to get the holiday weekend started early this week, with informal racing and sailing Thursday night after work. Expect some Flying Scots, kids, water, and fun. Last week, the Flying Scot kids were instrumental in righting a capsized Hobie 16!
The Club doesn’t have any other scheduled activities for the Labor Day holiday weekend.
The weather is looking good Thursday night through Sunday. Friday will probably be our warmest day at 85º, with lower 80’s the rest of the weekend. We are expecting rain on Monday at this point, but maybe only in the morning. We’ll see how it shakes out.
Winds are looking great for Thursday evening, from the WNW at 9-12 knots. Friday’s winds should be similar, and we see a lessening on Saturday. Based on the forecast (which will change…) get out for your Saturday sailing in the morning, because the afternoon will be dead flat calm. On Sunday we could see the wind shift towards the East and SE, building to 7-12 knots. Again, expect changes to this wind forecast, as wind forecasts are only good about 2 days out…
We are still looking for a “Swag Miester” to manage Club merchandise and apparel orders. Please let me or Judy Morrison know if you can take over this position.
