First, I’d like to thank everyone for coming out this past Tuesday evening to check over and clean up the Sunfish sailboats. Many hands make light work, and now Sunfish sailing is open for business! This coming Tuesday we will have our first bi-weekly evening Sunfish sail where we get them all rigged out, new folks can learn how the program works, and get out sailing. If you’d like to use the Sunfish outside that time, please contact Craig Tourtellot, Hilltop Sailor, to get approved for Sunfish use.
This Saturday, we have our June Invitational Regatta. All boats are welcome to race under Portsmouth Handicap with a single start for all fleets. Skipper’s Meeting will be at 10:00 on A Dock, with racing out on the water at 11:00.
For Flying Scot sailors, get ready for June 8, when we have our annual Glenn Wesley Memorial Flying Scot Regatta. Glenn was an instrumental part of the club and the Flying Scot fleet. All Scots are welcome.
The weather actually looks good for a change this weekend. It should be sunny and dry with temps in the low 80’s, probably more clouds on Sunday. Wind forecast shows light winds mostly from westerly directions.
