To paraphrase Ollie Williams, the weatherman on the Family Guy TV show: “It gon’ be HOT!” On the plus side, the wind looks decent for this weekend.

We have a regatta scheduled for Saturday, with all boats welcome to race, and single start for everyone. Races are handicap, not one design.

Later on Saturday, we’ll be having a crowd favorite Full Moon Raft-Up. Meet at 6:00 in No-Name Cove just out from the marina. First boat drops anchor. Someone fire up the Committee boat and bring the grill. I can probably be there later than 6:00, maybe by 6:30…

As you may guess from my intro, this weekend will be the peak of a heat wave, with very hot, humid temperatures. On the plus side, it looks like we will have WSW winds at about 8 or 9 knots with fun puffs both days. Expect rain to roll in late Sunday, hopefully overnight, breaking the heat.
