It looks like for the next several days or so there will be ideal fall sailing conditions!
Racing: The official racing schedule is now complete… Awards will be presented at the November 15th NSC Fall Banquet (see below).
Yet, Randy Blough posted this on the Facebook Group: Everyone, please join us Saturday for an encore sailing event hosted by Matt Cohen. You can race with us. Or just sail around with us. Or just socialize ashore.
We will have several fun races on a short course at 11:00, then a traditional up the lake and down back race around 12:15, then a nice after party around 2:00 or 2:30 until, we’ll, who knows?
Are you coming? Let us know how you’re participating, or if you want to ride on a boat, or if you want some folks join you on your boat.
Cruising: There’s an opportunity to join in the fun on Saturday (see above), or anyone planning on Cruising around the lake in the upcoming week? If so, create a post on the NSC Facebook Group and see if others want to join in!
Boats Out Saturday – October 24th: Time to wrap it up! Club members will be on hand in the boat launch parking lot to help take boats out and prep for the winter. Pressure washers will be available. Boats must be out of the marina slips no later than October 31st
Sunfish: Don’t be reluctant to rig a sunfish to go sailing whenever the weather forecast looks good. Make a post before you do, and maybe others will join you.
Sunfish Down Rigging Day on Sunday – October 18th 1pm
Save the Date: The 2026 NSC Annual Meeting & Fall Banquet will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at The William Penn Inn, 1017 DeKalb Pike, Gwynedd, PA. A brunch buffet will be served. The NSC covers some of the $cost$ for this.
