Commodore’s Message – August 16th, 2026

Visiting PSC: Three of us made the trip to Lake Wallenpaupack to sail with folks at the Paupak Sail Club (PSC). The sailboat racing went well with good winds (except when we had to go around a small island). Afterwards, they treated us to diner in a pavilion where they gather after events. All NSC Members are welcome to visit PSC at any time, and there may be a few sailors returning to NSC for this fall’s racing. Next summer we will arrange dates when they more formerly visit NSC again and visa versa.

Sunfish: The weather forecast is looking pretty good for the Sunfish Fleet, which is expected be out there on Tuesday – August 18th… as well as every other Tuesday.

Cruising: Anyone planning on Cruising the lake this week or afterwards? If so, create a post on the NSC Facebook Group post and see if others want to join in!

Racing: Somehow in very light winds we managed to sail three races this past Sunday. The next Race Day is Saturday – September 5th.  Skippers Meeting is at 10am.

Hope to see you on the water!
