It’s officially Summer now! To celebrate, this Saturday we have our annual Up the Lake, Down and Back Regatta and Picnic. All members are encouraged to race this casual distance style regatta. We will have a Racing Class and Cruising Class, each with their own starts. Racers will head down the lake toward the Lake House, and Cruisers will have a shorter course usually just past the Fishing Pier. We will have a skipper’s meeting at 10:00 on A-dock, with racing to follow on the water at 11:00. Following the race, we will have a picnic in the back of the rigging lot like our earlier picnic. We will have hoagies, drinks, and snacks. If you’d like to bring a side or dessert, please feel free. Don’t forget your picnic chairs and blankets! 

The weather this weekend is looking very nice and summery, with temperatures in the high 80’s on Saturday. The current wind forecast looks ok with WSW winds at 6 knots. Hopefully from this direction and the forecast speeds we will see consistent winds without too many shifts or gusts. On Sunday we should see a repeat with just a slight bump in temps and the winds should pick up to 8 to 12 knots.
