Flying Scot 5919 -- SOLD

This boat is in excellent condition, and was sailed and well cared-for by Glenn and Dorothy Wesley.  It was Glenn's passion, sailing it with Dorothy, and has won many club championships and national events, like the Wife Husband Championships.

Dorothy would like to sell the boat, and would love to see it stay in our club or Fleet 163.  She can do special pricing for a club member.

Boat built by Flying Scot Inc, with Aluminum Trailer.  Custom Blue color, with a white deck.  Boat is rigged in the Racing Rig style and is ready to race the day you buy it.

Has 2 sets of North Race Sails, including the newest Radial Mainsail, and an AP main, which is a great All Purpose Race main.  It has a nice Dieball spinnaker and a North Radial Spinnaker, still crispy, but with a few small patches where a mouse got into it. There is also a practice mainsail.  The jibs are snug rig, from North, and are in good condition, with one nearly new.

Boat has bottom and top covers for trailering, as well as a Sunbrella Mooring Cover for dry slip storage.  It also has a Sunbrella cockpit cover, which is nice for temporary cover at traveling regattas.

Many accessories included, swim ladder, mast flotation, and many others.  I have to survey all the accessories and sails, so there is a lot more I havent listed.

Lightning hull number 10,828.  This is a fiberglass hull made in the early 1970's.  The mast is aluminum.  The boom, rudder/tiller are wood.  The boat comes with a good set of sails from the mid 1980's (see pics) and it is ready to sail.  The boat is in Telford PA.

I installed cam cleats on stainless steel mounts for the jib (pictured) and added an outboard motor mount which is partially removable (also shown).

The mast has a tabernacle and I installed a block on the trailer mast holder so I could use the wench attached to the end of the front stay to assisting raising the mast. The boat comes with a Sailors Tailor mooring cover and a frame I made to support it when the boat is not in use (shown)...  The cover is getting old and may have on a season or two left in it.  A new one can be acquired here: boat also comes with hiking straps.  I removed them to clean the boat and did not re-install.The boat is currently on a trailer that is getting worn out.  The boat comes with a newer and in good condition galvanized trailer (registered) originally from an American14.  The new owner will need to haul it away on the current trailer, drop it in the water and put it on the included newer trailer. Please see photos here: cell 215-805-8349 $1,200 or best offer
