1983 Seafarer 22

1983 Seafarer 22 designed by McCurdy and Rhodes, built in Huntington, NY. She goes to weather, has Navtec Rigging, brand new 6 HP- 4 stroke outboard/Garlick Mtr Mount, New SS Lifelines, sleeps 4 comfortably, small galley, portable Head, and a water tank. Her main power plant is a full batten mainsail, 4 headsails, custom cockpit cushions. To get this boat to your favorite lake or any body of water, she has a galvanized E Z Loader trailer to splash her.

That old saying "They don't make'em like they used to", applies to this little ship. She is easy on the eyes from her beautiful lines, to Her well appointed teak with 6 coats of Cetol, to her beautiful teak interior. She was overbuilt and could cross large bodies of water if you chose to. She has been constantly upgraded throughout her life and it shows. The asking price is 7K, but any reasonable offer will be considered.

1987 O’Day 192.

1987 O’Day 192.  Main, jib, genoa 5 years old.  Removed the 2 original stationary sheet blocks and replaced with 2 genoa tracks for superb sail trim.  Added outhaul, cunningham, and reefing line blocks which are located at the bottom of the mast and safely controlled from the cockpit.  Original main halyard control was located on the mast and had to be raised and lowered from the cabin top.  Recently replaced with low stretch line and reconfigured so that the main and foresail are safely raised from the cockpit.  It even has a back-stay adjuster for a flat main in windier conditions.  Standing rigging is 5 years old.  I have the original furler, but personally prefer a jib and genoa.

Cabin windows are 2 years old and forward hatch with cover is 3 years old.  Forward, removable hatch cover helps keep the cabin somewhat cooler.  Hatch boards are 4-5 years old.

Approx. 7 year old 4 hp, 4 stroke Yamaha outboard barely used on Lake Nockamixon.  Boat includes trailer with new tires.  Bottom re-painted in the Spring of 2012.

WTB: little go-fast boat

I have been toying with the idea of a simple go-fast boat such as a Laser or Force 5. Something that's easy to set up for these shorter Fall days, and which has a limited capsize penalty for blustery days, so I can go blast around the lake and if I get blown over it's no big deal. Also, I might put a smaller rig on it to teach the kids.

The Force 5 probably fits my weight range better, but the Laser makes for better racing potential as evidenced by the large turnout last weekend when we hosted Marsh Creek. Also, the Force 5 probably has better availability in my price range.

If anyone knows of an inexpensive (under $1500 or so) boat like this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Brian
