  • Action Items: Minutes from the last Fleet Council meeting were not distributed. Brian will talk to Dave Strzempek to find out how to post the meeting minutes on the website

Notes

  • Treasurer – Frank Fisher
    • Financials for the 1st quarter have been distributed.
    • $5,700 was collected in March and expenditure included the outboard motor, pump and battery.
    • There is currently an issue with Paypal – the account has been flagged for suspicious activity which needs to be resolved.
    • It is proposed that a new Paypal account is established after the current renewal season.
    • Frank will forward a list of dues payments received to Debbie in order to complete the final validation process.
    • The IRS tax filing is complete.
    • Insurance has been renewed effective 4/1/22.
  • Vice Commodore – Chelsea and Karen
    • Brian to touch base with Chelsea regarding the picnic details.
    • Suggested date for the picnic is May 21st after the Regatta.
  • Rear Commodore Racing – Gary Bonner
    • A notice was sent out regarding race committee sign ups. Eight people have signed up so far.
    • The permit paperwork is almost complete, the Park office is sending out an agreement for signature.
    • Gary and Craig are working on the race scoring.
  • Rear Commodore Cruising – Paul Servantes (absent)
  • Membership Secretary – Debbie Servantes
    • We currently have 101 members. 73 Cruisers and 28 racers.
    • We need to add the honorary members and then send them an email with sign on information.
  • Communication – Bruce Idleman
    • Bruce hopes to issue the Compass around the 4th week of the month. He will be sending out an email requesting fleet captain reports.
    • Brian will look into posting Commodore messages on the website.
    • As there seems to be an issue with mass emails we are going to request that members use Facebook or the website for notifications.
    • Emails to be sent out to the previous year’s members who have not yet renewed.
  • Quartermaster – Craig Tourtellott
    • The new motor has been installed in the RC boat. The second motor has not yet been delivered. The old motor can be put back into the chase boat if the new motor has not arrived by the first race on April 30th.
    • A clean up date for the sunfish has yet to be set.

  • OLD BUSINESS
    • The insurance review is ongoing.
  • NEW BUSINESS
    • The sign on the light post needs to be replaced. Bruce will look into that.
    • Brian will update and print some new brochures so that the park staff have an adequate supply for the upcoming season.
    • Brian has the first set of dock numbers and a supply of black bumper strip banding for protection. Brian and Scott will look at the best way to install them this week.
